Hello, welcome... a little bit about me!
Hi!
I'm Eleanor, a student nurse with a passion for health, including nutritional, fitness and mental health.
I love living a healthy lifestyle, but I also love the knowledge base behind it all, so this blog will be a documentation of my learning and my journey to being the healthiest and fittest I can be. It will include recipes; the evidence behind why we include different foods in our diets; what I'm doing for my fitness/ strength and my progression as I learn more; the evidence behind different types of workouts; and how I'm improving my mental health and my relationship with food.
It'll also be based around health as a nurse as this is not always the easiest thing, with varying shift patterns, long work days and often odd meal times. I feel there is a huge gap in the "fitness world" for people who work shifts and perhaps don't have hours of free time for the gym or a regular eating routine/ pattern. Also, being a student, I don't have endless amounts of money (not even close!) so everything I do is on a budget and so, this blog will be based on how to live a healthy lifestyle without breaking the bank!
Whilst this blog is mostly for my benefit and learning, if I can help others learn in the process then that's great too!
Welcome to The Fit Nurse Life, I'm excited to see where this takes me!
